We’ve officially surpassed China in population. And with that, a silent crisis is unfolding — mass casualty events are becoming frighteningly frequent. From concerts and religious festivals to sporting events, unannounced actor roadshows, concerts with popular musicians massive religious gatherings like the Kumbh Mela, temple festivals with fireworks and airshows.... crowd-related deaths are now almost predictable. Even with the best efforts from authorities, no system can handle the sheer volume of people we are now dealing with.
The illusion that crowd control can be “managed” is breaking down by these repeated tragedies. We may have entered an era where "preparation" is no longer protection. These are celebrations turned tragedies.
We have reached a point where no government setup is adequate. No matter how much planning is done, it is never enough to match the swelling numbers, emotional surges and unpredictability of mass human behavior.
It’s time to shift strategy. Governments should not merely manage crowds — they must now actively discourage them, prevent them from mass gathering. It should be their first line of strategy.
We need a cultural shift where less crowd equals more safety. We must let go of the belief that a celebration is only meaningful when it is massive. There is no glory in a gathering where people get crushed, trampled, or suffocated.

“Preparation” has failed us.
Discourage and restrict crowds altogether
Encouraging large gatherings is unsustainable and Anti-people
Safety Over Festivity
Not because we fear the people, but because we value their lives.
