Covid - Singapore
Starting today (2nd June), Singapore is gradually re-opening the activities that do not pose a high risk of Covid19 transmission. But those who "can" WorkFromHome must WorkFromHome. As research can't be done "WFH", I am back to my research center.
Pupils are returning to the schools and some businesses are reopening as the circuit breaker (lockdown) is relaxed. Public transport is running more frequently (Commuters required to wear a mask, refrain from talking to one another or on their mobile phones and social distancing inside the buses and trains must)
Things may not go back to "normal", (at least for another 1 year) but "New Normal". New kind of social interaction, new kind of get together, new relationships, new norms, new experience of being a social animal........ What was once annoyed, unacceptable, strange becomes new normal, but interesting...... wondering which parts of my old normal are worth rushing back to???
